Diogenes “Dio” Armando D. Pascua is the founder of Liser Robotics who joined last year’s GOAB Startup Pitching Competition. He is from Cagayan de Oro City (CDO) and was nominated by Rhea Suzette Mocorro, Manager of Xavier University Technology Business Incubator (TBI).
Dio is passionate about affecting change in our educational system through the development of low cost robot kits to be used for advancing the education of our youth and to help teachers be equipped with 21st century educational tools and technology.
He believes that through advancing STEAM*-based education to our youngsters, there will be more scientists, engineers, inventors, creative thinkers, and risk-takers who will produce useful and innovative solutions to help the people and economy of the Philippines and the world.
He is passionate about his craft and always shares his robotics and computer coding skills to his friends and the community in general.
He currently works at the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines - a premiere Science and technology university in Cagayan De Oro City.
Dio believes that the Philippines needs to catch up with the world by educating kids well enough and introduce them to science and technology at an early age.
When away from his computer, Dio goes swimming and reads tech-related books. He’s interested in building a humanoid Robot with AI and deep learning capabilities.
Kudos to Gio for teaching the Filipino youth about science and technology. To know more about Liser Robotics, email Dio at diogpascua@gmail.com or contact him directly at (+63) 977-334-7536.
